Terms & Conditions

By accessing our website at Calgary Appliance Service Pros, you agree to be bound by our Terms and Conditions, all applicable laws, and regulations of British Columbia. You also agree to be responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws.

It is the customer’s responsibility to review and familiarize themselves with these Terms and Conditions before or while scheduling a repair appointment. This ensures our authorized technicians can commence the requested services.

By booking an online appointment at Calgary Appliance Service Pros, or by making a reservation over the phone, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Calgary Appliance Service Pros (“We”, “Us”, “Our”) warrants that all team members (“technicians”, “representatives”) are professionally trained and insured as appropriate for their role.

By requesting our services, you agree to the following terms:

“As Is” & Final Sale – Refund Policy

The sale of any parts and services provided, including diagnostics, repair labor, and estimates, are considered “as is” and final.

Calgary Appliance Service Pros does not make any claims, provide any warranties, or issue any guarantees regarding the effectiveness, outcomes, or results arising from goods and services provided by our company or our technicians to the customer.

You agree that our company and our technicians will not provide refunds on any parts installed or parts orders canceled by the customer after the part has been ordered, whether or not the part has been installed.

Additionally, the customer agrees that our company will not provide a refund on the service fee of $129 billed as part of the diagnostic or repair labor, regardless of expectations or the achieved results of the services provided.

Refunds for diagnostic labor and repair labor billed by the technician will be at the sole discretion of the technician.

Indemnification & Damages Disclaimer

Any damages arising from the repairs performed by our technicians must be reported to us no later than 24 hours after the completion of a repair.

By booking an appointment with our company, you agree not to hold our company or our technicians liable for any damages or losses to your equipment, furnishings, household goods, buildings, or any issues arising from and in connection with the services performed by our technicians.

Parts & Labour Warranty

Any part claimed to be defective must be inspected by our technicians before authorizing a recall and/or replacement of parts.

You agree that the 90-day warranty on parts installed by our technicians, and labor performed by our technicians, is only applicable in cases of manufacturing defects or professional mistakes made by the technician in the performance of requested services.

In certain circumstances, return visits may be billed to the customer in full or at a discounted rate if the customer’s recall arises from not following the technician’s professional directions regarding their appliance.

For example, not cleaning the dryer ventilation ducting after a parts replacement, or if the appliance is difficult to access and not made readily available to the technician, may incur a labor rate of $50.00 per 30 minutes.

If there are repeat visits due to the customer not following the technician’s directions, the technician may bill the customer the aforementioned labor rate plus a $129 service charge for each recurring visit.

Cancellation Policy

We may collect payment information and authorization before performing services or sending a technician to an appointment.

The customer agrees that any appointment cancellations within 1 working day of the appointment date may be subject to a $50 cancellation fee. Ensuring the cancellation, rescheduling, and other adjustments to the arranged appointment are the sole responsibility of the customer.

Invoicing & Payment Policy

By setting up an appointment with our company, through any medium, you agree that you fully understand the policies and prices quoted to you and will pay in full the service fee and labor rates quoted to you over the phone before booking the appointment.

If you request the procurement or installation of parts, you agree to pay in full the quoted price of the part and any related charges, including installation labor, shipping fees, deposits, and prepayments for the cost of parts.

In certain circumstances, pertaining to the installation and accessibility of an appliance, the technician may charge additional labor to make the appliance accessible or ready to be serviced during their visit.

You agree to perform due diligence to make the appliance accessible for the technician before their visit. If the appliance is inaccessible or difficult to service, you agree to pay in full the additional labor rates quoted by the technician at the time of service.

If you allow our technicians to commence the provision of services, you agree that you understand any and all prices quoted to you and agree to pay in full any charges ensuing from the services provided.

Additionally, you agree that all services performed by the technician and any goods sold to you are to be paid for at the time of the visit. Any remote-payment or after-pay arrangements, if available and approved by our company before the time of service, should be made explicitly clear before booking an appointment.

If you request to pay by invoice, you agree to pay any resulting invoices in full no later than within 3 business days from the time the invoice is sent to you.

Waiver Of Liability & Damages

Water Bearing Appliances

Whenever any machinery, appliance, or component relevant to our work is connected to the building’s plumbing, it is deemed to be “water bearing”.

The customer agrees that there is an inherent risk that the failure of components, imperfect connections, and/or other faults may result in unintended leakage and/or flooding, causing significant damage.

Except for cases of gross, clearly evidenced, and explicitly identifiable misconduct, carelessness, or failure to perform according to professional standards by the technician, the customer agrees to hold Calgary Appliance Service Pros harmless from any damages, loss, or liability arising from such occurrences.

By allowing our technician to commence services, you explicitly waive the right to any contrary claim.

Refrigeration Appliances & Equipment

Refrigeration equipment consists of complex components that may fail without warning. Any effort by our technician to service or repair these components carries inherent risk.

The customer agrees that in the provision of services, unrelated to the technician’s work, damage may arise to the refrigeration appliances themselves, leading to spoilage of food, discomfort, inconvenience, and potential loss of revenue.

You acknowledge that by providing services to your refrigeration appliances, Calgary Appliance Service Pros is not accepting liability for such risks. All risks in respect to our services are your own, and you agree to hold our company harmless from liability regarding such risks, damages, failures, and losses.

By allowing our technicians to commence services, you explicitly waive the right to any contrary claim.

Glass Cooktops

The customer agrees that in dealing with a glass or ceramic cooktop to access components below it, there is an inherent risk of breakage.

The cooktop is often attached with strong adhesive, and it may not always be possible to remove it without the surface fracturing.

Calgary Appliance Service Pros expects our technicians to exercise professional care and diligence in this matter.

Nevertheless, you agree not to hold our company liable for damages, losses, or issues arising from these risks. All such risks are your own, and by allowing our technicians to commence services, you explicitly waive the right to any contrary claim.
